Enlightened Healthcare...beyond current Integrative Healthcare Concepts

Welcome to BodhiCare™. It has been said "words are a means to meaning" and the name BodhiCare does have a very special meaning in living our mission, vision and values.

The definition of bodhi is supreme knowledge or enlightenment. We chose bodhi as part of our name to reflect an expanded view of current integrative healthcare paradigms, offering a truly enlightened healing-caring experience that encompasses the latest research and innovative whole-person care strategies. The heart shaped leaves of the bodhi tree represent the healing hearts and authentic love expressed through our shared calling to this work.

Our planned "Healing Center" will be designed to ensure a serene restorative care area for people and loved ones needing or seeking a 24-hour healing environment. Space in the healing center will also be devoted to physician / healer offices, treatment facilities and the flow of our entire facility is intended to complement our vision of face-to-face and heart-to-heart encounters between practitioner and each guest.

BodhiCare™ is in the start up phase of creating a healing center that embodies an environment necessary to promote health. We cannot see or treat patients, yet; however, if you will add this link to your favorites or bookmarks on your browser, you will be able to easily check on our progress toward opening our doors. At BodhiCare™ we will actively seek to engage in healing relationships with patients, which we refer to as guests. Our healing center – restorative care center and outpatient center - will be designed through the eyes and perspectives of patients. Your suggestions and ideas for a healing center will be most welcome.

The outpatient center will assist guests (patients) in maintaining or improving health, as well as provide enlightened healthcare education. We have formed a foundation (tax-exempt) to support research on a variety of topics including new approaches to health and healing, effectiveness of medicines from around the planet, enlightened care. The BodhiCare™ foundation will also support specific education programs for the restorative care center and outpatient center.

Enlightened Care is care that goes beyond integrated care. Enlightened care harmonizes care treatments and therapies from around the world: Eastern medicine, Western medicine, Naturopathic medicine, Complementary medicine, Alternative medicine, indigen ous treatments and therapies and healing approaches from the Ag eless Wisdom. Enlightened Care approaches healing the whole person -- spiritual, mental, emotional, physical -- in light of their social and community life. Enlightened care also means integration of physicians / healers and practitioners providing care into a collaborative care team that partners with patients and their loved ones.
